    The big difference is that Social Security is separately funded, is in the black and lends its surplus to the Federal Govt, while Defense in total sucks 30% of our total budget ($1 trillion+ per year) to defend foreign nations. Ummmm…I’ll take Social Security which is spent in the US and keeps our economy rolling. You see, old folks buy stuff here and that creates jobs here. Defense spends a lot overseas which may be good for foreign fonts, but not us.
