Apple (AAPL) seems to have run out of black iPad minis too. Yesterday several media reports suggested the white and silver version of Apple’s iPad mini sold out shortly after the highly anticipated device became available for purchase. In fact, the white model was in such high demand that it reportedly sold out within 20 minutes of its US preorder release on Friday.
Today, the same thing has happened to the 16GB iPad mini black version. Apple’s Online Store (h/t 9to5Mac) is now showing 2 weeks shipping times for the black base model in all storage capacities, while the 32GB and 64GB versions are still shipping Nov. 2. That said, it’s yet unclear as to whether the preorder sell-out of both, the black and white iPad models will affect the device’s launch set for Nov. 2.
