Last Week’s Global Investments Performance

This Wall Street Journal chart shows last week’s performance of different major global financial markets.

As the chart above illustrates, crude oil dominated the performance spectrum convincingly over the last week by gaining 6.2%. Crude was followed by gains in Russell 2K, Euro Stocks, S&P 500, and Dow, gaining 3.1%, 2.7%, 2.2% and 2%, respectively. Excluding negative returns from US investment grade-bonds, US corp. junks, the greenback trade weighted, and EMs, all asset classes gained during the week. On a y/y basis however, the majority of them are still in the red.
