How long Ben Bernanke will last as the Chairman of the Federal Reserve is anyone’s guess, since there is always the possibility — unfortunately, of him falling victim to politics. Today however, Mr. Bernanke had a very good day. He received a strong endorsement from billionaire investor Warren Buffett who said to CNBC’s Becky Quick, ” I don’t see how you could do better than Bernanke as Fed Chairman.” Bernanke’s term as Fed chief expires on January 31, and the next few months will be crucial for his legacy. Buffett in this clip talks also about the economy, how he has trouble seeing ‘green shoots’ and how we are monetizing debt.
