Dennis Gartman Now Thinks Warren Buffett Isn’t an Idiot

Apparently, Dennis Gartman isn’t standing behind his reported “Warren Buffett is an idiot” quote. The WSJ recently headlined the following paragraph from a talk Mr. Gartman delivered earlier this month at a country club near Portland:

“Warren Buffett is an idiot,” he said, emphatically, in a short interview after the speech. “Shame on Warren Buffett. That’ll be a good quote for your article.”

In the following clip Gartmen is asked about reports of him calling Buffett an idiot. He denies it, but says it’s “inexcusable” that Berkshire fell 45% y/y because Buffett didn’t do enough to “mitigate” his losses in a tough market environment.
