The Mortgage Bankers Association [MBA] on Wednesday said its seasonally adjusted index of mortgage applications for the week ended Dec. 17 decreased 18.6%, reaching its lowest level since the week ended Jan. 1. On an unadjusted basis, the Index decreased 20% compared with the previous week.
