GMAC Could Get $7.5 bln from Treasury

GMAC,  the former financing arm of General Motors (GM), may receive as early as today a $7.5 billion infusion from the The Treasury Dept., the Detroit News reported Wednesday. The deal could allow the U.S. government to hold a majority stake in the Detroit-based auto finance company.
