Samsung Electronics’ first tablet computer, the Galaxy Tab, will go on sale in two weeks, the co. said on Thursday, turning up the heat on Apple’s iPad. The new 7-inch screen Android-powered tablet which offers access to books, films and music seems like it might be the first true Apple (AAPL) iPad contender. It remains to be seen if Galaxy Tab will be able to take some of the wind out of the iPad’s sails.
