GM CEO Ed Whitacre To Step Down

Hours after posting its best quarter since 2004, General Motors announced on Thursday the resignation of CEO Ed Whitacre as of Sept. 1. During a conference call with reporters, Whitacre said he will step down as CEO on Sept. 1, but will remain chairman until the end of the year. – FBN
