Charlie Gasparino is reporting that insiders at Goldman Sachs (GS) are saying Lloyd Blankfein will give up some power at the firm by the end of the year.
Here is a highlight from Gasparino’s report:
“I’ve been talking to people inside Goldman Sachs and there is kind of like a bet going on, and most people are betting that the CEO Lloyd Blankfein will step down in some capacity before the end of the year. These are people inside the company. That’s what’s new. Now you are getting that internally. Most people internally believe he is going to give up something after they basically do a settlement with the SEC.”
