The Dept. of Labor on its weekly claims report said Thursday the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims in the week ending Feb 21 was 667,000, an increase of 36,000 from the previous week’s revised figure of 631,000. The advance number for seasonally adjusted insured unemployment during the week ending Feb. 14 was 5,112,000, an increase of 114,000 from the preceding week’s revised level of 4,998,000.
