Lloyd Blankfein Regrets Goldman’s Participation in Leveraged Transactions

Goldman Sachs (GS) Chief Executive Lloyd Blankfeing regrets having participated in transactions that brought too much leverage into the world. In an interview with India’s Economic Times newspaper Mr. Blankfein said he regretted the fact that his firm participated in transactions that brought too much leverage into the world. “It led to people taking too much leverage. But those were the standards of the moment,” he told the newspaper, while on a four-day trip to India – Reuters
