Steven Cohen, the billionaire hedge fund manager, yesterday fired back at his ex-wife, claiming her lawsuit for a piece of his $14 billion empire amounted to an extortion scheme. The lawsuit by Patricia Cohen — who claims that her former husband, who runs Connecticut-based SAC Capital, lied under oath about his net worth at the time of their divorce, managing to cut her settlement by millions — “is plainly designed to extort monies from Mr. Cohen,” his lawyers said in a motion filed in Manhattan federal court seeking to dismiss the ex-wife’s claim – NYPost
