New Home Sales Fall to Lowest Level on Record – Sales of new single-family houses in February 2010 were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 308,000. This is 2.2 percent below the revised January rate of 315,000 and is 13.0 percent below the February 2009 estimate of 354,000, according to estimates released today by The Commerce Department. The sales level marks a new low since records started being kept nearly 50 years ago.
