The Fed Looking Into Goldman’s Role in Greek Crisis

Testifying before Congress on Thursday, the U.S. Fed chairman Ben Bernanke  said that the US central bank was looking into Goldman Sachs’ role in arranging derivatives for Greece, which allowed the country to cut its budget deficit years before its debt crisis.

FT: “We are looking into a number of questions relating to Goldman Sachs and other companies and their derivatives arrangements with Greece,” Mr Bernanke said, noting that the SEC was also interested in the issue. However, Mr Bernanke did not give any more details about the investigations.
