U.S. Treasury Sells $42 Bln In 5-year Notes at 2.395%, 32.83% Allotted at High

The Treasury Dept. sold $42 billion in 5-year notes on Wednesday at a yield of 2.395% versus Exp. 2.389%.

  • Bid To Cover 2.75 x the amount of debt sold, compared to an average of 2.71 x at the last four sales of the securities.
  • Indirects bought 40.30% versus an average of 49.8% of recent sales
  • Direct take down 12.85% versus 6.6% recently
  • Allotted at high 32.83%
