A Simple and Powerful Rebuttal to Global Warming

Since ClimateGate put the Climate Cabal on their back heels, a flood of new science has emerged, no longer being suppressed by the cabal, generally challenging the anthropogenic (man-made) global warming case. A simple rebuttal to man-made global warming is that the increase in Co2 has not had a corresponding increase in the greenhouse effect.

A former NASA contractor, Dr. Ferenc Miskolczi, posited such a rebuttal based on his independent research. This chart shows that there has been no significant increase in the greenhouse effect for the past 60 years:

The black line is the annual variation in atmospheric “aborbing power” over a 61-year period. The red trend line shows the greenhouse absorbing power remaining constant (in equilibrium) during that period. Greenhouse absorption increases (blue trend line) only when H20 levels are kept constant.

The implication is that nature has a way of self-regulating.

One of the core assumptions of the global warming case is that an increase in Co2 should be amplified by other greenhouse gases, notably water vapor, but instead we have seen a decrease in water vapor where there is an increase of Co2. The red line in the chart is the greenhouse absorbing power, which is essentially flat for the period. The blue line is how the red would have looked if water vapor had remained constant. The global warming models all assume that water vapor would increase, steepening that blue line, but the opposite happened, disproving their theory.

  1. Could you please explain what “flux optical depth” is? Depth of WHAT? After all, this is a graph of trends in that variable. Please explain how this variable is related to average annual temperature.

  2. You can not emit 200 million years worth of sequestered carbon in the span of 200 years and expect it to have no effect in the near term. Sure, nature has a way of self-regulating, by increasing ocean acidity and a warming globe. Eventually, the atmospheric carbon will be absorbed by various biotic means of sequestration (if we let it), but the time span over which this will happen stretches into the centuries.

  3. Dadga, it is clear that no amount of evidence is going to sway you and the other adherents to the AGW dogma. This truly has become a religion. The difference is that believers in God admit that their beliefs are faith-based while AGW followers try to hide their faith using the veneer of “science”. The wheels are finally coming off the AGW bus. Hallelujah!

  4. Climate change deniers can keep up the whistling in the dark if it makes you feel better. It won’t stop the Greenland’s ice sheet or the Arctic permafrost and the western Antarctic from melting or the oceans from getting warmer. Eventually, all that will drown out your whistling. For now, carry on.

    Are you really that stupid?

Try reading the article then respond to it rather repeating your robotic alarmist invective.

There is more to this. Dr. Ferenc Miskolczi resigned his post when his right to publish in a “peer reviewed” was denied by his employer.

An unpleasant pattern of anti-scientific silencing of dissent is now emerging:

    • ScouseBilly,

Let the name calling begin! Yes, we find it unpleasant, but it’s an indication of how desperate and weak you and your fellow alarmists are becoming. Bring it on!

And I also find your concern over intellectual freedom very entertaining! Especially in light of the way that CRU’s Tim Wigley worked to get GRL (Geophysical Research Letters)editor James Saiers fired because of his willingness to include both sides in his choice of peer reviewers. If you don’t believe me, then read the emails at http://www.eastangliaemails.com/emails.php?eid=484&filename=1106322460.txt

You alarmists must really be proud!

  6. ScouseBilly, you might do yourself a favor and do a little research the next time you call somebody stupid. The Examiner reporter might do the same since he claims that not a single scientist has stepped forward to rebut Ferenc Miskolczi’s work.

In fact, he has been thoroughly debunked and multiple times. And it starts out with his complete misunderstanding of Kirchoff’s law. But, he continues to gloss this over and keeps saying the same thing over and over again, just like all you climate-change deniers.

It doesn’t matter to me. I’ll be dead soon. You all get to live with the consequences of your bullshit. Unfortunately, my children and grandchildren do, too.

  7. PoD, I am NOT an alarmist quite the opposite in fact. Try re-reading what I wrote

Meteor Blades Fortunately the planet is bigger than we puny humans and (along with us) has survived far worse than a little bit of extra CO2.

I am more concerned that the Maurice Strongs and Al Gores of this world have a NWO agenda.

Your children and grandchildren would not thank you if they become slaves to an evil elite.

Please think about that and I do apologise for calling you stupid.

  9. Ummmmmm…..Greenland used to be green and Vikings grew crops there, now its covered in ice. Shouldn’t it be the other way around if AGW was real?
