The definition of strong (dollar): Timothy Geithner said this week “I believe deeply that it is very important to the United States, to the economic health of the United States, that we maintain a strong dollar.” It would be interesting to know what his definition of “strong” dollar is. When John Snow was asked the same question back in 2003 (May 18) when he was Secretary of the Treasury he said: “You want people to have confidence in your currency (…) You want it hard to counterfeit, like our new $20 bill.”
