The alleged fraud perpetrated by Florida lawyer Scott Rothstein may have topped $1 billion, more than twice the amount previously claimed, the FBI said. The alleged scheme may have victimized thousands of people around the country, FBI agent John Gillies said today at a press conference in North Miami Beach, Florida.
