Maria Bartiromo was interviewing ex-Fed Chairman Paul Volcker today on CNBC when in the middle of the interview he walks off on the air. In all fairness to Volcker, he was late for a speech and kept saying he was late and had to go, but Bartiromo kept asking question after question.

This is hot news? C’mon. And the headline is BS. Crowley said “you’re late for a speech,” and Volcker said “yes, I’m late for a speech.” And he left.
Nothing to see here. Move on.

The exchange was pleasant and the head line made it sound like he stormed off the stage. Why even put this up.
I thought Bartiromo was rude with silly questions that didn’t address any issues of concern to most investors, and I don’t blame Volcker for storming off. I would be mad if I had been treated the way Bartiromo treated him.
Her interview here reminds me of her interview with Rep. Anthony Weiner back in September, where she asked a 44 year-old man why he isn’t on Medicare if he likes it so much. He’s 44.
