Earnings Whisper: CalAmp Corp. (CAMP), NIKE, Inc. (NKE), Micron Technology (MU)

CalAmp Corp. (CAMP) is set to announce its Q316 earnings after the market close today. Analysts expect the provider of wireless communications solutions to report earnings per share of $0.29 and revenue of $73.8 million. That would be $0.02 higher the $0.27 per share posted last quarter and $0.04 higher the $0.25 posted in the Q315. Revenue is projected to be $10.6 million higher than the $63.2 million posted in the same period a year earlier. Meanwhile, EarningsWhisper.com reports a whisper number of $0.31 per share.

As a quick reminder, CAMP reported Q216 EPS of $0.27, $0.01 better than the Street’s consensus estimate of $0.26. Revs increased 17.91% year-over-year to $69.8 million versus the $67.96 million consensus. CalAmp gained 0.29 to $19.19 in mid-day trading today.

NIKE, Inc. (NKE) is scheduled to report Q216 results after the market close today. The Street has consensus estimates of $0.86 in earnings per share and $7.81 billion in revenue. In the Q2 of the previous year, Beaverton Oregon-based company posted $0.74 in EPS and $7.4 billion in revenue. Meanwhile, EarningsWhisper.com reports a whisper number of $0.89 per share.

As a quick reminder, NKE reported Q116 EPS of $1.34, $0.15 better than the Street’s consensus estimate of $1.19. Revs increased 5.26% on a year-over-year basis to $8.4 billion versus the $8.22 billion consensus. NIKE gained 1.78 to $131.58 in mid-day trading today.

Wall Street analysts are on average expecting Micron Technology, Inc. (MU) to post $3.46 billion in sales during the quarter. This would show a 3.89% decrease from the Q415 revenue of $3.6 billion and an decrease of 24.29% from the same period in Q115. EPS in Q116 are expected to come in at $0.23, a decline rate of 76.29% from $0.97 per share a year earlier. Meanwhile, EarningsWhisper.com reports a whisper number of $0.26 per share.

As a quick reminder, MU reported Q415 EPS of $0.37, $0.04 better than the Street’s consensus estimate. Revs decreased 14.89% yoy to $3.6 billion versus the $3.56 billion consensus. Micron lost 0.18 to $14.59 in mid-day trading today.
