Top Point Gainers: Chipotle Mexican Grill (CMG), Wynn Resorts (WYNN), DuPont (DD), Dow Chemical (DOW), AeroVironment (AVAV)

Shares of Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (CMG) have risen nearly 9 points in midday trading Wednesday after Bernstein maintained a bullish stance on Chipotle’s stock with an ‘Overweight’ rating and $730 price target.

Shares in the $17.19 billion market cap company are down 17.47% year-over-year and off 28.52% from their Aug. 5, 2015, $758.61/52-week high.

Shares of Wynn Resorts Ltd. (WYNN) continue to surge on Wednesday, up $7.45, or 12.06%, at $69.25. The name traded as high as $73, making it the top performer Wednesday in the S&P after it was disclosed that founder Steve Wynn purchased 1 million shares of the company.

WYNN shares are currently priced at 36.09x this year’s forecasted earnings, compared to the industry’s 22.55x earnings multiple. Ticker has a t-12 price/sales ratio of 1.47. EPS for the same period registers at $1.92.

Shares of DuPont (DD) are higher by 7.17 points in late trading on Wednesday. Strength of the $64.62 billion market cap science and technology based company is attributed to reports suggesting the Dow Chemical (DOW) +5.24 points and DuPont, two of the biggest and oldest firms in the American chemical industry are considering e merger.

Shares of AeroVironment, Inc. (AVAV) are up by $3.63, or about 15%, to $28.13 in mid-day trading on Wednesday noon.

In the past 52 weeks, shares of Monrovia, California-based company have traded between a low of $19.10 and a high of $30.65, which is 60.47% above that low price. Over the past 5 trading sessions the stock has lost 3.93%. Ticker is down 10.14% year-over-year and 10.20% year-to-date.
