Morning Buzz: Facebook (FB), Express Scripts (ESRX), Horizon Pharma (HZNP), Apple, Inc (AAPL)

Facebook, Inc. (FB) — Facebook board member and venture capitalist Marc Andreessen has sold nearly half his stake in the social networking giant, according to three SEC filings. From Oct. 30 until Nov. 6, Andreessen, whose scheduled stock sales were part of a prearranged trading plan, sold more than 900K FB shares for more than $96 million, at prices ranging from $101.96 to $110.22 per share.

Andreessen, a major Silicon Valley figure, still has a significant stake in Facebook. He owns nearly 758K Class A Facebook shares. He also also owns nearly 380K Class B shares, which have special voting rights.

Shares of Horizon Pharma plc (HZNP) are lower by 15.59% in pre-market trading on Wednesday.  The $3.56 billion market cap company today commented on Express Scripts’ (ESRX) lawsuit and recent allegations saying it believes claims are without merit.

From Horizon Pharma ‘s statement:

“Less than five percent of our net sales are from prescriptions that are filled by Linden Care and processed by Express Scripts…The notion that Linden Care is a so-called “captive pharmacy” of Horizon Pharma is entirely false. At best Express Scripts is being reckless in its allegations and at worse it is intentionally attempting to mislead investors…The lawsuit filed by Express Scripts relates entirely to a previously disclosed dispute concerning a prior rebate agreement between the parties.”

Amira Nature Foods Ltd. (ANFI) – The distributor of packaged specialty rice and other food products announced the completion of the Independent Third Party Forensic Investigation. BDO has independently concluded that these allegations are unsubstantiated and/or unfounded.

Apple, Inc (AAPL) — Cupertino’s freshly launched music service becomes available for Android devices today, the same day the tech giant begins to sell the new, larger iPad Pro.
