Morning Watch: Fonar Corp. (FONR), Novavax (NVAX), Apple (AAPL), Microsoft (MSFT), Cisco (CSCO)

Apple, Inc (AAPL) – Cupertino announced on Monday that the iPad Pro will be available to order starting Wednesday, Nov. 11 from Apple.com and will arrive at the company’s retail stores, select carriers and Apple Authorized Resellers starting later this week.

Shares of Microsoft Corporation (MSFT) continue to fall on Monday, down $1.07, or 1.95%, at $53.85. The software giant today announced a deal to acquire Secure Islands. Terms of the acquisition for the data-security firm were not disclose, however sources familiar with the matter said the purchase price is around $77.5 million.

Shares of Fonar Corp. (FONR) are down $2.49 to $15.60 after the company released its earnings results on Monday. The Melville, New York-based company reported Q1’16 EPS of $0.43 per share vs. $0.38 in the previous year. Revenue declined 2.2% from prior year to $17.6 million.

Novavax, Inc. (NVAX) dropped $0.74 to $7.26 in mid-day trading after it reported fiscal results for the third-quarter.

In its quarterly report, the vaccine maker said it lost ($0.12) per share, well above the ($0.09) per share analysts were expecting. Revenue fell 20.7% yoy to $6.5 million, below views for $10.1 million.

Novavax shares have risen 35% since the beginning of the year. The stock has surged 62% in the last 12 months.

Cisco Systems (CSCO) today announced a strategic partnership with Sweden’s Ericsson (ERIC) to create “networks of the future.” The partnership has the potential to create $1 billion in business for each of the companies by fiscal 2018.
