Wal-Mart (WMT) To Sell $29 iPhone

With iPhone 6 rumors steadily accelerating in recent weeks, deals on current iPhone models are getting all the more attractive. According to FBN’s Katie Roff, Wal-Mart (WMT) is making a big push to sell more Apple (AAPL) iPhones. Specifically, starting today the iPhone 5S will be available for $99, a $50 discount compared to Super Store’s previous price, and the 5C will cost $29, or $20 less than before.

To get the deal, customers will have to activate a 24-month plan with AT&T (T), Sprint (S), or Verizon (VZ). The phones each have 16 GB of storage space.

Walmart isn’t the only retailer offering significantly cheaper new iPhones. Radioshack (RSH) has had a similar promotion for several weeks now, with the prices being identical to Wal-Mart’s. Costco (COST) also began selling iPhones online this week, charging its customers just $78 for an on-contract iPhone 5s.

İt’s worth mentioning that the smartphones will only be available at these prices through Wal-Mart stores and not online.
