Netflix’s (NFLX) Hastings Joins the Billionaire’s Club

According to Forbes magazine, Netflix (NFLX) founder and CEO Reed Hastings is now officially a billionaire.

Thanks to Netflix shares recent surge over the $400 level, Hastings’ net worth is now over the $1 billion barrier for the first time. The magazine estimated Hastings’ company stock and options were worth more than $900 million, including about $120 million in post-tax profits from stock sales over the last five years.

The magazine called Hastings, who is also a board member at Facebook (FB) and previously at Microsoft (MSFT), “the first on-demand billionaire.”
